Q: Who owns the artwork?
A: If you pay us, you own the artwork. Some designers like to retain ownership of the artwork after a client pays for it, and we don't understand why. In our minds, if you pay for it, you own it. Our written proposals put this belief in writing:
"Upon receipt of final payment, Cedarock will transfer ownership of the approved design to Client. Client may use the design for any legal purpose, and may not resell the Product without permission. Cedarock retains the right to use samples of the final Product for promotional purposes."
We will gladly provide a copy of all digital files on CD upon request.
