Website Maintenance, Updates, Edits

Websites can be built in a variety of ways. All methods visually appear the same way to the eye, but some are disasters under the hood and therefore are costly to maintain. We design websites using best practices and raw code. That means our sites are super-easy to edit in the future. "Super-easy" means "low cost."

Low Cost
When we perform updates, we typically do it on a time-and-materials basis billed in quarter-hour increments. On properly-built websites, most updates can be completed between 0.25 and 1.00 hours.

High Cost
Websites that are developed using software or by low cost developers are often very costly to maintain. Sites that contain poorly designed structure, rigid images, and messy code require time to deconstruct or replace. Because we understand raw code, we are capable of deconstructing messy code, but it requires time and time is money. For example, a recent edit that could have been 0.25 hour (on a Cedarock-built site) required 2.00 hours of labor on a poorly built site we inherited.

"Jim was very helpful in getting our ideas together and building a site that does what we need. Cost was reasonable, and he went out of his way to guide us along the way to make sure our information would be presented in a useful, user-focused manner. Nice job!"
